Hey there.
Elsie’s hair has grown and she has decided to cut it again so it can be made into a wig for children who have medical conditions which have resulted in hair loss.
Elsie’s hair will be donated to Variety’s ‘Hair with Heart’ program in memory of our dear friend Gideon whose gentle nature, humour and kindness continues to warm our hearts.
This gesture is also inspired by her other special friends who have faced or are facing cancer with remarkable strength and grace. You inspire us all every day.
In the lead up to the big chop on Saturday 7 December 2024, Elsie has decided to raise money for the Jreissati Pancreatic Centre at Epworth (https://pancreaticcentre.org.au) in memory of her Nana Judy who passed away in June 2021.
Elsie adored her Nana and was lucky to spend so much precious time having fun with her. We continue to feel her warmth, generosity, incredible strength, optimism and kindness. Her smile is always with us and we are filled with memories. Not a day goes by where we don’t think about her and talk about her.

Nana Judy was one of the first people to benefit from the Jreissati Pancreatic Centre and she valued the support provided by Nurse Jo.
