I've created this page in memory of Sylvia Tnay.
I want to honour and celebrate Sylvia's memory by raising money for the Epworth Medical Foundation (EMF).
EMF raises essential funds to provide exceptional care for patients at Epworth, a not-for-profit, private hospital group. Your support goes to world-class medical equipment, innovative research and compassionate patient programs.
All donations made in Sylvia's memory will be directed towards the Day Oncology Unit.
For those who were not aware, Sylvia was diagnosed with Stage 4 Uterine Cancer in March 2024. She underwent surgery and six cycles of chemotherapy through the Epworth Freemasons Day Oncology Unit and remarkably had a clear PET scan following this in late 2024 despite the aggressive nature of her type of uterine cancer.
She unfortunately had a recurrence of her disease in February 2025 and was commenced on immunotherapy cycles again through the Epworth Freemasons Day Oncology Unit. On 25th March 2025, Sylvia had a large haemorrhagic stroke and passed away peacefully in the presence of family on 3rd April 2025.
Sylvia always spoke highly about the quality of care provided in the Epworth Freemasons Day Oncology Unit through her two periods of treatment, as well as the compassion and kindness of the staff shown not only to her, but Ivan as well who was by her side throughout every treatment.
