Please help me raise $2500 to support prostate cancer research.

This year I am joining a group of like-minded people to do the Epworth Tuscany Challenge to help raise funds for prostate cancer research.

The Challenge takes in a part of the Via Francigena pilgrimage trail through the foothills of Tuscany and it is in aid of the E.J. Whitten Prostate Cancer Research Centre.

I have many friends who have been affected by this disease. All of them are still here and doing very well thanks to some amazing doctors and surgeons, and the results of some outstanding research.

I also want to help raise awareness for prostate cancer and to ensure that men know to undertake regular checks and to understand that early diagnosis leads to excellent outcomes. Treatments for prostate cancer have changed drastically in the last decade and are getting more effective and less invasive every year – much of which is due to the efforts of Nathan Lawrentschuk and the team at the Whitten Centre.

In addition to helping fund research, the Challenge provides an incentive to walk more. Think about what you can do to pursue a healthier life? Take care of yourself, be cognisant of your mental and physical health, take lots of little breaks and encourage others to participate in a healthy lifestyle.

Thank you for supporting me, Julian.
